https://tackk.com - The Indian army is finally getting its lot of bullet resistant armour – world class ballistic helmets - that it had been waiting for the last two decades.In the coming couple of months, a Kanpur based ballistic armour manufacturer and supplier, MKU Industries, will build and supply over 1.59 lakh world class helmets to the army.The helmets that the soldiers now use in anti-insurgency or anti-terrorist situations are bulky and do not provide protection if a bullet is fired at the head of the soldier. These helmets were designed to protect the wearer only from splinters and stones and bullets that have ricocheted and grazed the helmets. To bridge this gap in protection, the army had been demanding for new age bullet resistant armour for long years – the wait has finally come to an end with the government inking the deal with MKU Industries for bullet resistant helmets.
