Anjal Thurai is produced by P. Chinnusamy and directed by A.R. Rafi, who has also written the story, screenplay and dialogue, and taken care of editing and cinematography. A horror film, it is set in an evening college. The cast comprises Mohan, Sowparnika, Narayanan, Kushbu Mukerji, Tamil Selvan, Senthil, Pandu, Vadivukkarasi, ‘Bonta’ Mani, Aaryan, Benjamin and Kovai Senthil. Hithesh has scored the music. The audio of the film was released by actor Namitha and received by director R.V. Udhayakumar. Producer P. Chinnusamy: I am in the construction business. I have been interested in making a movie. Impressed with the absorbing storyline narrated by Rafi, I decided to produce the film. It has come out well and I am sure of its success. Director A.R. Rafi: Puthiya Payanam was my directorial debut and I followed it up with a couple of movies. As the story of Anjal Thurai takes place in the night, we shot it in natural light.
